Let us consider together
For over 50 years I have been a follower of Jesus – some of the time in ways that pleased him and others and sometimes so poorly it neither pleased him, me, or others. However, I’ve stayed on the journey because of the women and men who have walked with me as we considered together many of the things Jesus lived and taught. The number of these companions is too great to name all of them, but in the various postings it will be obvious that all of my writings are a result of asking questions of these companions and putting down the things we have found most helpful with the hope that they will be helpful to others as well. And important to note that everything I have compiled is still a work in progress so your insights will be greatly appreciated.
I am pleased that friends have encouraged me to do the blog and to make the ideas available for transfer to electronic devices. Please feel free to access the material in this way. However, I still relate to the comments of Anne Lamont when she wrote: “EBooks are great for instant gratification – you see a review somewhere of a book that interests you, and you can start reading it five minutes later. But when all is said and done, holding a printed book in my hands can be a sacred experience – the weight of the paper, the windy sound of pages turning, like a breeze. To me, a printed book is like a cathedral or a library or a beach – a holy place.”
So to those who want the more sacred experience of a book you can order on the blog and I will send to you or you can e-mail me and I will send them to you at the below prices (which includes postage — except internationally.)
- $4.00 – Kingdom Complexities
- $6.00 – Our Work Loves our Neighbor
- $3.00 – Who do you think you are?
- $3.00 – Submit to One Another
Let’s have a good journey together. . . Kent
