Submit To One Another

One of the least noted and rarely preached on texts in the Bible is the passage from Ephesians in which Paul instructs the believers in Ephesus to “submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.” This book explores the dimension of submitted relationships in the Body of Christ. Some of the reasons we do not do this are explored and the benefits to us in our relationships with the Lord and each other are made clear. The ideas are both challenging and encouraging. The concepts are illustrated from the lives of people in our day who have lived their lives in this manner. This clear biblical teaching rescues the word, “submission” from the negative way it has been viewed by many because of the manipulative and coercive ways it has often been used in the communities of Christ.
